Michael Ramsey was born in Fort Worth, Texas and raised in the Dallas area. He attended Texas Christian University from 1984-1988 and enjoyed all aspects of college life. In 1988, he graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. Dr. Ramsey received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, in 1994. He completed his Internship and Surgical Residency at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas where Dr. Ramsey served as Chief Orthopaedic Surgery Resident, before finishing the program in 1999. His acute interest in the spine led Dr. Ramsey to completing a Spine Fellowship in San Antonio, Texas with South Texas Orthopaedic & Spinal Surgery Associates.
Today, Michael L. Ramsey, M.D. is a board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with specialization in the Spine. His private practice, West Texas Spine, is dedicated to his goal of providing exceptional care in the treatment of the neck and back. Dr. Ramsey was named Assistant Clinical Professor in the department of surgery at Texas Tech University. He is involved in teaching medical students for Texas Tech University through their medical school program.
